Itinerary:

Day 1: Jiankou – Mutianyu Great Wall (L/D)

Your tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel in the morning (7:00 am in summer and autumn; 8:00 am in spring and winter), it takes about 2.5 hours by driving to Jiankou Great Wall.

We start the hike from team 2 of Xizhazi village, you will experience the best unrestored wild Great Wall while hiking on this section. Firstly we walk up to the top along the mountain path, after about 1 hour walking we will reach Zhengbeilou Tower where you could have a bird view of Jiankou Great Wall. Then we hike towards east, midway through the hiking to Mutianyu section, we will cross the mountain path, walk up and down on the rugged wall, pass through the wild and destoryed towers at Jiankou, and get to the fully restored Mutianyu. We will hike about 3 hours and pass through about 17 towers on the wall. You could enjoy the view of both sections of the wall - natural and well-preserved. Finally, you have 3 ways to come down from the Great Wall at Mutianyu: 1.Cable car 2.Walk way 3.Toboggan.

The hiking time is about 4 hours and the hiking distance is about 10 km (6.2 mils).

Then the guide and driver take you to have lunch. After lunch, drive to Gubeikou village.

Stay at local inn in Gubeikou village for overnight.

Day 2: Gubeikou-Jinshanling Great Wall (B/L)

After breakfast, we start the tour. Today’s hiking begins at around 8:00 am - 9:00 am.

We start the hike from Panlongshan section, we will hike about 11 towers and reach 24 - Window Tower after about 1.5 hours hiking. 24 - Window Tower is the end of Gubeikou section for this hiking tour. As some parts of Gubeikou Great Wall belong to the army, so we need come down from 24 - Window Tower and go cross the bushes. After about 1.5 hours walking throuth the bushes, farm filed and hilly path, we will get to Jinshanling Great Wall. We will pass through Taochunkou Pass, West Five - Window Tower, Zhuanduokou Pass, etc. We will hike about 1 hour and pass through about 7 towers on Jinshanling section, come down from the Great Wall at Zhuanduokou Pass.

The hiking time is about 4 hours and the hiking distance is about 10 km (6.2 mils).

Then the guide and driver take you to have lunch. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel in Beijing downtown.

Important Notice:
1. Please take Hiking boots, sticks or trekking sticks, backpack, sun-glasses, sunscreen, snacks, camera for this hiking tour.

2. The traveler whose body is not fit for the hiking such as arthritis, heart disease, hypertension, asthma, and the traveler who are drunk are not recommended to take this tour.

3. Don’t take baby less than 3 years old for this tour, and the traveler who are more than 80 years old are not recommended to take this tour.

4. Do not wear short pants.

5. Please go to toilet at the entrance of the wall before the hiking, there is no toilet on the Wall. Please carry toilet paper by yourself always.
6. This tour is not available under the following weather condition: Rain, Snow, Strong Wind, etc.
