Gubeikou Great Wall

Gubeikou Greatwall is the most integrated defense system in China. It plays a very importance part between Shanhaiguan and Juyong pass, and the whole Wall is original.

Jinshanling Great Wall

Jinshanling Great Wall is the best preserved part of the Great Wall in the Ming Dynasty with many original features. It’s a good place for hiking tour, and it’s the heaven for photographers.

Itinerary

Your tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel in the morning (7:00 am in summer and autumn; 8:00 am in spring and winter), it takes about 2.5 hours by driving to Gubeikou Great Wall.

We start the hike from Panlongshan section, we will hike about 11 towers and reach 24 - Window Tower after about 1.5 hours hiking. 24 - Window Tower is the end of Gubeikou section for this hike tour. As some parts of Gubeikou Great Wall belong to the army, so we need come down from 24 - Window Tower and go cross the bushes. After about 1 hour walking throuth the bushes, farm filed and hilly path, we will get to a framhouse which is located at the foot of the hill and have a simple lunch at there. After lunch, continue walking toward to Jinshanling, we will get to Jinshanling Great Wall by about 30 minutes walking through the mountain path. Then we hike towards east, we will pass Taochunkou Pass, West Five - Window Tower, Zhuanduokou Pass, General Tower, Shalingkou Pass, Small Jinshan Tower, Big Jinshan Tower, Houchuankou Pass, etc, pass over 22 towers and get to East Five - Window Tower after about 4 hours hike, come down at East Five - Window Tower. The east part which is connected with East Five - Window Tower is the west edge of Simatai, the Simatai West Great Wall is blocked, so we must come down from the Great Wall at East Five - Window Tower.

Hiking level is about 4 (Max 5).

The hiking time is about 7 hours and the hiking distance is about 15 km (9.3 mils).

After the hiking, transfer back to your hotel.

Important Notice:
1. Please take Hiking boots, sticks or trekking sticks, backpack, sun-glasses, sunscreen, snacks, camera for this hiking tour.

2. The traveler whose body is not fit for the hiking such as arthritis, heart disease, hypertension, asthma, and the traveler who are drunk are not recommended to take this tour.

3. Don’t take baby less than 3 years old for this tour, and the traveler who are more than 80 years old are not recommended to take this tour.

4. Do not wear short pants.

5. Please go to toilet at the entrance of the wall before the hiking, there is no toilet on the Wall. Please carry toilet paper by yourself always.

6. This tour is not available under the following weather condition: Rain, Snow, Strong Wind, etc.
